The gregarious Kentuckian officially launched the project last night as he wooed industry insiders and select guests with a party at B.M.I.-Nashville's posh digs. Today, the Country star guests on WSMV-TV's Today In Nashville show, an appearance that follows visits to Country Aircheck, MusicRow Magazine and All Access earlier this week.

 

"Sunshine" Is Heating Things Up For Southern Halo

Nashville, TN (May 6, 2019) -- Southern Halo's new single, "Sunshine," is impacting radio now and things are definitely heating up for the siblings from Mississippi. Already this month, the group has been named to Taste of Country's Five Artists To Watch In May list, announced a new partnership with luxury upcycle brand Spark*l, launched a Mother's Day promotion with ongoing partner 1800flowers, and set a May 29 date for their debut appearance in-the-round at the legendary Bluebird Café. Additionally, the trio is shooting a new companion music video for the groove-oriented tune, plus writing and recording songs for an upcoming project.

Nashville, TN (April 19, 2019) -- MARTY BROWN explores the lesser traveled musical road on his new CD, AMERICAN HIGHWAY. Set for May 17 release, the Plowboy Records' disc is Brown's first in two decades - and shows just how far a little exploration can take an artist. This is a righteous, joyful foray that features stylistic growth and gentle genre bending - and Brown is proud to share production credits with the revered Jon Tiven (B.B. King, Wilson Pickett, Waylon Jennings) with whom he co-wrote all of the disc's 10 songs.

Marty Brown Guest Hosts Country Classics TV Show

Nashville, TN (April 1, 2019) Singer/songwriter Marty Brown kicks off a four-episode guest hosting run on Country Classics TV show today, with new shows set to broadcast on April 8, April 15 and April 22. The weekly half-hour program is filmed at the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum in Nashville and features interviews and music videos from classic Country artists like George Strait, Willie Nelson, Pam Tillis, George Jones, Tanya Tucker and others. Country Classics airs domestically on Heartland TV and The Family Channel, and internationally on Country TV (NZ), Keep It Country (UK) and Cayman 27 (Cayman Islands). Legendary Producer Fred Foster Has Died

Fred Luther Foster passed away peacefully last night following a short illness with his family at his side. Foster was born July 26, 1931, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, the youngest of eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance Hampton and Clara Marcella (Weaste) Foster, and siblings Albert Glen, Estelle, Charles Vance, Ray, Pauline, Ethel Lou, and Ann. He is survived by his son Vance Foster, and daughters Micki Foster (Greg) Koenig, Leah Foster (Dillon) Alderman, Brit Foster (Judd) Rothstein, and Kristen Foster and grandchildren Rachel DiGregorio, Rhys and Tess Rothstein, and Penelope Kirschner. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

 

Entertainer Marty Brown Returns To Country Radio With Hypnotic New Single, "Umbrella Lovers" 

Nashville, TN (February 18, 2019) - Entertainer Marty Brown returns to Country radio via Play MPE with "Umbrella Lovers," a hypnotic new single from his upcoming CD, AMERICAN HIGHWAY, for Plowboy Records. With a laid-back, big-city vibe and Brown's distinctive vocal, this is a record that will drive you to grab your lover and stroll your day away. Jangling guitars, a slight "island vibe" and easy vamps keep the track moving while a "live" room sound makes this a radio stand out. Taste of Country premiered the audio track earlier this month, and Country Rebel gave a shout-out to sweethearts on Valentine's Day with a special acoustic video performance of the song. Nashville, TN (February 18, 2019) - American Masters - Charley Pride: I'm Just Me traces the improbable journey of Charley Pride - from his humble beginnings as a sharecropper's son in segregated Sledge, Mississippi - to his career as a Negro League baseball player - to his meteoric rise as a trailblazing music superstar. This new, 52-minute documentary reveals how Pride's love for music led him from the Delta to a larger, grander world.
