This month's issue is "Alternate Root TV"
Alternate Root TV Show- a
weekly nationally syndicated Americana Roots music TV show. hosted by Reb
Landers and The Alternate Root Magazine
This month's issue focuses on Alternate Root TV what we feel
is one of the most exciting and potentially beneficial new happenings in
roots / Americana
music. We explain the who, what, when, where, why and how of this massive
undertaking. Aninterview with show host and our own writer Reb Landers
gives the inside scoop on the show. Be sure and check it out as the first
three shows are available to watch and feature musical guests Raul Malo,
Todd Snider and Corb Lund. The Other Side of Nashville features acoustic
jams with YARN, Band of Heathens and Hot Club of Cowtown. There's
interviews with guitar legends Duke Robillard and Colin Linden and tons
of great Indie music video. It's really quite a fun show and if you have
any suggestions, we are always open. Keep your videos coming...we love
it.
Also in this issue are features on Band of Heathens, Anne McCue, The
Sojourners, Josh Langston and Mark Wehner. The Sojourners are just
incredible don't miss that one! Anne McCue is a very interesting person
besides being one hell of a great musician and writer. We missed your
column this month Anne! Band of Heathens are fantaastic and there's a
clip from Alternate Root TV at the end of their interview. Josh Langston
is a genuine outlaw in the best sense...we love this guy! Mark Wehner was
the founder and host of Americana Tonight and he's got a new album
out...check out his cover of Arlo Guthrie's "Coming Into
L.A."...smokin!
There's reviews of Chip Taylor, Gordie Tentrees, Moreland and Arbuckle,
The Little Death, Kasey Anderson, Reckless Kelly, Mike Zito, Joe Louis
Walker and more!
Speaking of more...our publicist interview this month is Martha Moore
from So Much Moore Media...one of the coolest, sweetest and hardest
working folks in the biz!
All in all it's a power packed issue with a slew of new videos, lots of
music and some interesting stories and interviews.
One more thing...we're looking for writers to write some short features
on cool music in your town so if you're intersted and connected to your
local scene we want to hear from you. Contact us at info@thealternateroot.com
