Hank
Cochran Marks Another Milestone – Celebrates 70th Birthday With
Friends And More Music
Nashville, TN (August 8,
2005) -- Legendary country songwriter and entertainer Hank Cochran marked
another milestone last week, celebrating his 70th birthday (August 2) with
family and friends during a luncheon at The Palm Restaurant in Nashville.
Hank has been enjoying the summer and recovering nicely from his recent
heart surgery. He’s also taken several outings on his boat, Le Bon Temps Roule; enjoyed a
writer’s retreat with old pal Red Lane, and celebrated two new cuts:
“Undo The Wrong”
on Willie Nelson’s reggae
album, and John Cody Carter’s current
single, “Don't Walk Out On Me.”
Also giving cause for celebration is the Koch Collection’s re-issue
of THE HEART of HANK/ The Monument Sessions which is
garnering lots of airplay.
Cochran is responsible for
country classics “I Fall To Pieces” (Patsy Cline), “The
Chair” (George Strait), “Don’t Touch Me” (Jeannie
Seely), “Don’t You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me?” (Ray
Price, Ronnie Milsap), “It’s Not Love (But It’s Not
Bad)” (Merle Haggard), “Make The World Go Away” (Eddy
Arnold), and “She’s Got You” (Cline) along with many
others.
