Nashville, TN (November 1, 2010) -- Guy Penrod's latest single hits international country radio programmers' desks today via the HotDisc Rush Released Compilation, and the new release offers up a great feeling track and sound advice. Bright, ringing acoustic guitars make a standalone statement in the opening notes of "Pray About Everything," then a pounding drum line jumps in to fill out the beat. The electrifying track lifts to meet Penrod's joyous voice, and the first verse offers the perfect set up for the memorable chorus, which gives the following advice:
"Don't worry 'bout nothing
Let it go, see what tomorrow brings
Don't worry 'bout nothing
Pray about everything ...."
Written by hitmakers Bob Regan and Jeff Stevens, the song has Penrod's fans on their feet at every show. "It's up-tempo, and the message seems to resonate with the folks at my shows," Guy says humbly. Resonate it does, and the crowd response is the reason that Penrod chose this track for his next single. "The message is timely," says Penrod of the song and today's challenging economic times.
Penrod recently enjoyed an international winner: "Are You The One" hit the Top 5 on the Country HotDisc Chart and took the number #1 spot on the New Christian Music Chart. It was a gratifying validation for the newly-solo Guy, who spent 14 years as the centerpiece of Bill Gaither's celebrated "Vocal Band." Penrod's debut solo album, BREATHE DEEP, was released in February and it's become the best-selling release in Southern Gospel this year. In August, Guy kicked off an International tour that took him to six countries. Since his return, he's been touring stateside both solo and with popular entertainer Jason Crabb on the TWO VOICES / ONE MESSAGE Tour (sponsored by World Vision). "It's a new day," Penrod observes. "It's a new beginning for me and it's exciting - and this song reflects that energy."
