Nashville, TN (September 28, 2015) -- Popular television show Country Fix will host the world premiere of Denny Strickland's acoustic video, "Waymore's Blues" on Monday, September 28.  Part of THE DIVE SESSIONS, the classic Country cover of original "outlaw" Waylon Jennings' much-loved ode to Jimmie Rogers and women is one of three music videos Denny filmed under the guidance of producer/director Brian Harstine (Dolly Parton, Ke$ha) at a popular Nashville "dive bar" called Springwater.  Strickland wanted to pay tribute to artists who had inspired his career, and this endeavor offered the perfect vehicle.  "I've been really lucky, but so far my hits have been in a more contemporary vein," notes the talented newcomer.  "The SESSIONS are stripped down and raw - and they are all more traditional in style."  With subdued lighting and tight camera shots, the clip shows Denny exuding his natural magnetic intensity, and accompanied by only a guitarist.

In between sessions and live shows (including opening for The Kentucky Headhunters at this month's Giles County Fair in Tennessee), the Arkansas native is visiting Country radio stations as he continues to promote his current U.S. single.  Denny is enjoying his first taste of international success with four consecutive weeks at #1 (Hotdisc Chart) with his European-only release of the Conway Twitty classic, "I'd Love To Lay You Down."

ABOUT DENNY STRICKLAND
Denny's early career was guided by The Statler Brothers' longtime manager (and Bass player for Johnny Cash), Marshall Grant.  Strickland soon found himself sharing the stage with legends Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash and George Jones.  With Grant's passing in 2011, he took a brief hiatus; regrouping and re-focusing his efforts.  An accomplished guitarist and keyboardist, Denny is also a former American Quarter Horse Association World Champion Western Pleasure winner (2007).  Strickland still enjoys riding - on both his beloved horses and in his cherished 1968 Camaro.
